#SHoM

When I first started this blog, my real intention was to be creating a resource for the young ladies that I teach everyday. While this blog has grown hugely over the last year (53,000 views and counting...), whenever I post, I am thinking of the Sacred Heart of Mary students and how I can improve, enhance and help them enjoy their education. Hopefully, on the odd occasion I succeed.

On this page, I am trying to provide direct links to useful posts and pages for SHoM students. This should be your start point for using the blog!

As always, please give feedback...

Key Stage 3 (Y7-9):
2013 is an exciting year in Key Stage 3. Y7 have already begun studying 'The Way' which is part of a newly updated scheme of work endorsed by Archbiosh Vincent Nichols. A bit more about it can be found <here>. Y8 and Y9 will start studying it from September 2013. It has been set-up via an organisation called Teacher's Enterprise in RE. This site has additional resources to support all students (including GCSE).
Y8 and Y9 continue to study ICONS for the remainder of this academic year and below are links to blog posts for revision and assessments:
GCSE (Y10-11)
GCSE RE is exciting because it is always on the news, and everyone has an opinion on the topics covered. We study EdExcel Units 3 and 10. Below I have begun to collate links to labels that cover various aspects to the GCSE course:
AS/A2 (Y12-13):
I teach the Philosophy side of the course covering Foundations (AS), Developmental (A2) and Implications (A2). Philosophy is one of the oldest academic subjects, but one that continues to be topical, especially in an increasingly secular society where many see science and religion in conflict.
General RE:
We currently study the NOCN qualification. This post contains a selection of resources to help complete the qualification:
